At 2 pm on December 2nd , 35 members were
able to attend the annual Christmas Party. It was at Richard’s Pub for the
third year. Susan Mosca was the prime
mover getting prepared for a terrific party.
To quote her, she was after a “Jingle Bell Fairy Dust” application to
the festivities…She did all that and more!
She enlisted the assistance of her husband Domenic (her personal elf) to
decorate the tables and distribute 9 foot long sparkly garlands for each person
to wear like a necklace as they arrived. After the really nice dinner, she
assisted Santa (our own dear Sparky) to distribute gifts in a North Pole Yankee
Swap fashion to everybody. The most
popular item was a pair of “fine hand woven Irish linen towels” – they found
their way around the room in a hurry!
Donations for Toys for Tots were collected for Richard Mowry to take to
the Marines for distribution. The Herb Allen award was given to Moe and Janice
Rousseau and the Carol Hathaway award was presented to John and Barbara
Budziak. It was a delightful afternoon!
