MAY 6, 2023 DUST OFF TOUR
Our scheduled dust off tour was cancelled due to the inclement weather on April 29th. BUT, the weather on the 6th of May was superb. Sunny, bright, slight breezes, and just right! We met at Richard’s Pub around 10 am. Despite the week delay, we had a good turnout. Bob Osborne handed out maps and directions, and we were off and running! We toured through the beautiful Rhode Island countryside and arrived a bit early at the Captain Jacks restaurant. So what else? We continued a tour of the beach neighborhoods and stopped at the East Matunuck State Beach for about a half hour, biding our time and enjoying the sea breezes. We arrived at Captain Jacks about 11:30, and 16 of us were seated and served lunch off the menu. The meal was very good, atmosphere was beachy, and service was friendly and timely. A really nice day!
