The Little Rhody raffle basket.

The event was held on a perfect early Fall weekend, and included the usual banquets and raffles.
We also did a tour around Lake Winnipesaukee with a stop at the Castle in the Clouds. There was a surprise of fireworks on Saturday evening during the banquet/dance. The band played 50's hits, and the dance floor was crowded.

Too bad the Little Rhody horse, "Rhody Red" was such a slug in the Friday night speakeasy races. Jocky Pat Howard was so disappointed.
The Howards got over their pain when Charlie won Best of show with his 4 door blindback.

Another big winner for Little Rhody was Angel Caparelli who won the 50/50 raffle to the tune of $1,005.00

Of course, The best Model A's from the New England region were there in large numbers. It's hard to believe that so many cars of the same make and model could survive after 80 years, but there they were.

Little Rhody participants included:
Pat and Charlie Howard
John and Dawn Mennucci
Richard and Joan Mowry
John and Dottie Cece
Angel Caparelli
Dennis and Edward Alsop
Franklyn Barker
Carole and Joe Knight

We all wish to thank the members of the NH Lakes Region Model A Club for their organizational skills which they applied to making the event such a huge success.

Visit to Steve Ciccalone's Garage, August 16 2009

Steve graciously invited Little Rhody to visit his home in Barrington for a look at his Model A's. Steve also provided the grill for a hot dog and hamburger cook out with club members providing salad and deserts. Also on hand were beer and soft drinks for club members enjoyment.
The cars were amazing, with two of them being original unrestored examples.
Russle Dean, who arranged today's outing, and provided the hot dogs and hamburgers, has discussed the possibility of a trip to Steve's house in New Hampshire to view some even more amazing Model A's and his vintage motorcycle collection.

The 2009 picnic was held on July 19, at Francis Farm in Rehoboth Mass. The weather couldn't have been better, and the turnout included 38 people. Francis Farm supplied a great location for the car games, as well as their usual excelent chowder and clamcakes. After the car games, we had a great chicken barbeque. We finished up the day with the awarding of the prizes for the car games. Everyone was a winner.

St Patty's Day Parade

Hi,
Here's some pictures from the St Patty's Day Parade March 2009 in Newport.

2009 Spring Dustoff Ride

Our Mighty Steeds.

John, Russel and Dennis.

Dottie and Susan.

A good turnout!

The Dustoff Tour for 2009 took us through North Western RI, touching Mass along the way. The weather cooperated, after expectations of a possibly wet day. We started in Scituate, and proceeded through such rural areas as Burrillville and Pascoag endingat Wrights Farm in Harrisville. The run was about 45 miles, and most of the Model A's T's and whatever else ran well with the exception of Jeff Larsson's flat tire and a blown head gasket in John and Dawn Mennucci's 1930 Tudor. Our monthly meeting was conducted in the Wright's Farm parking lot after the meal, and the concensus of opinion was that the ride was a "Keeper".

Attendees of the ride were:

John and Dawn Mennucci
