2013 POTLUCK SUPPER/SHOW AND TELL

The 2013 Potluck Supper was on March 10 this year, and included a show and tell of peoples interests other than Model A's.  The food was as always at Little Rhody events, delicious and plentiful.
John Mennucci brought a collection of James Bondian "spy" cameras and accessories, Paula Taylor had a display of tools and materials she uses for furniture upholstering.  Sparky had collector silver dollars, foreign coins and stamps, and Charlie Howard brought silver dollars, and penny collections.  There was even a cows foot made into a water bottle!
Ralph Shippee celebrated his 92nd birthday at the event, and 2 birthday cakes, one with a 9 candle and one with a 2 candle marked the occasion.

Christmas 2012

The 2012 Christmas party was held on December 1, at the West Valley Inn.  The food was family style, and excellent, and the Inn staff did everything possible to help us make the event a success.  There was a U.S. Marine, Cpl. Rafael Diaz on hand to share the hospitality and collect the toys donated to the Toys for Tots program.  We decided that this would be a good alternative to our usual gift exchange program thanks to a suggestion by Marguerite Pakuris, and the work of Richard Mowry to coordinate the effort.
The election of club officers was held, and the presenting of the Carol Burns award to this year's recipients, Bob and Evie Osborne and the Herb Allen award, to Pat and Charlie Howard.        .
Enjoy the pictures!

Little Rhody 50th Anniversary Celebration

November 21st 2012, Time for a celebration, Little Rhody is 50 years old!  The party was held at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick RI.  Attendees included a few of the remaining charter members and past presidents, but was marred by the passing of Sam Browning, a charter member and club icon, just weeks before the event.  The reunion was dedicated to Sam, who was an active member of the club for the whole 50 years.
I tried to include as many attendees as possible in the photos, as well as a few of the activities.
