Archie Project 05/21/14

The “Archie Project” is going full steam ahead. We are meeting on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 PM (weather permitting) On May 21st, the first session of Bob Osborne's "Archie Project" was held at Charlie & Pat Howards, on Hatchery Road in North Kingstown. The engine head having been removed, revealed better than expected conditions. The ridges on cylinders were not bad and all valves appeared to be in fair to good condition. On Archie’s back side, the rear end has been removed revealing a broken main spring leaf. We plan on removing the two transmissions next. Bob went to Tam’s Thursday and an engine gasket set was purchased along with carburetor gaskets and distributor parts. Ten men showed up for a very productive session.
