The date
selected for the summer picnic this year was July 21st. As luck would have it, predictions of heat
index temperatures of 105o and high humidity (which did come to
pass) drove us to push the event to it’s “rain date” on July 28th. Although warm, the day was clear and breezy
and quite pleasant! Dottie Cece hosted
again this year. The food was great with
burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, watermelon and all the et ceteras along
with pot luck dishes and desserts galore.
The car games were run by Ken Trudel, Dennis Allsop and John Mennucci –
lots of fun. Ray Pagliarini brought a
“youngster”, Jen, who was interested in buying his Model A. She was getting double-clutch lessons from
Ray and Angel through the afternoon and participated in the games, too. Thanks to Sparky for donating so many car
game prizes! A really nice day!
