Pot Luck Supper, 2014

The Winter blahs are nearing an end for this year, so time for a parting shot in the form of a pot luck supper.
As at all Little Rhody food themed events, there were plenty of great choices for the betterment of our waistlines.  We took a few pictures which are included for your enjoyment, we attempted to eat all the food and deserts, but not a chance.  We had to settle on just having a fun evening with our fellow Model A enthusiasts.
Enjoy the pictures, and as always click on a photo to enlarge.

Christmas 2013

The Christmas party for this year was a great success, not only did we have a great meal as always, but we were also treated to a very different Santa Clause experience due to a "wardrobe malfunction"!
We had awarded the Carol Hathaway Burns trophy to Richard and Joan Mowry, and the Herb Allen award to Bob and Evy Osborne, and had given the Toys for Tots contributions to the Navy representative, (Richard Mowry), when Santa made his appearance...did he ever.  Seems that his trousers were somehow loosened during the sleigh ride to Twin Oaks, and decided to drop to the floor while Santa was greeting attendees.
Oh well, the party was slowing down a little by then, but got interesting in a hurry.

Thanks for the success of the party to:

Paula Taylor for the centerpieces and favors,
Richard Mowry for his help with Toys fer Tots,
Pat Howard for organizing,
Dawn Mennucci for Speech and Awards,
Pat Beauchaine for the blessing,
John Mennucci for Christmas music and photos,
All the club members who supported the club with their attaendance,
And especially Santa, (Kenny McDevitt) for the underwear demonstration.

Enjoy the photos, and remember, click on a photo to enlarge.

Eleanora Paleantonio 1932 - 2013

In memory of Eleanora Paolantonio, who will always be remembered by Little Rhody members as a fun loving supporter of any activity the club engaged in.  Eleanora, together with husband Al could always be found enjoying club events together.  She will be missed at meetings, events, and especially in the hearts of all the Little Rhody members who knew her.
John and Dawn

Sadly, Al followed Eleanora's passing in November of 2013 to his eternal reward on October 6, 2014.  Al was a longtime club member, who along with Eleanora, was a strong supporter of Little Rhody, and devoted to the preservation of his beloved 1930 Model A Deluxe Roadster.  The club will miss the presence of Al and Eleanora at our car events and social gatherings. Our prayers will be eternally with them.

Richard's Ice Cream Run

Richard Mowry decided that we needed a fall fun run with a reward.  He couldn't have chosen a better destination, and the reward was ICE CREAM!!
We met up at our usual junction of Rts. 102 and 14.  From there we took country roads to Buttonwood Ice Cream stand in Griswold Connecticut.  The ice cream is homemade, and in many flavors.  The whipped cream is almost as thick as the ice cream, making sundaes amazing.
As the pictures show, the weather was perfect, and fall colors were starting to "pop".

      Enjoy the photos.
