We spent the day at Portsmouth Glen Park for the
third year on July 22.It was a great day just off the water, warm but with
sea breezes. The event was coordinated
by Moe and Janice Rousseau. Al Silvia sponsored the club for the event and
provided some handcrafted centerpieces for the tables. Becky’s Restaurant provided a BBQ pulled
pork/bean and the fixin’s. Moe and Janice
brought coleslaw and huge watermelons. Other
members brought yummy desserts. Rosalie
and Ray Pagliarini came with baskets for “raffle”, and Sparky Pakuris was the
MC for that part of the festivities. The
car games were run by John Mennucci with
Richard Mowry and some help from Dennis Allsop.
Prizes were awarded to participants whose driving prowess excelled! In
the hard luck category, Don and Sue Pillsbury had a flat tire on the way on the
uphill side of the Jamestown Bridge.
They had a special poster attached to the back of their car announcing
their 60th anniversary! A nice day.
