On August 20th,
several of the members of Little Rhody embarked on a tour destined to end in
ice cream consumption! It was a perfect
day – sunny and breezy. We met up at the
junction of routes 117 and 14 in western Coventry. Bob Osborne led the group on the meandering
trail with a short stop at the Ekonk Turkey Farm so we could meet up with Jeff
and Deb Barnes. Then, it was off along
country roads to the Buttonwoods Farm in Griswold, Connecticut. The ice cream was scrumptious, as usual! Carl Carlson and his son were in attendance at
an event for the first time. Macie
Wilson was celebrating her birthday that day.
