We gathered for
our annual Christmas party at Richard’s Pub in East Greeenwich, RI. on December 3rd. As usual, the staff coordinated by our
favorite waitress had everything ready and waiting for us. Marie Penta organized activities and
coordinated putting together gift bags for everyone AND she made holiday
greenery raffle prizes as well as getting centerpieces for the tables. Sandy and Evie assisted in getting the gift bags put together. Alas! Sparky and Marguerite were not with us this year - we sure missed him acting as Santa! The meal was scrumptious as
usual. For dessert this year Marie Penta
arranged for a special Anniversary Cake as our club was celebrating its 60th
anniversary this year. After a short
business meeting, Marie led a game for distributing the gift bags with unknown
contents to all of us. The club members
again came through with a large number of toys for the Toys for Tots campaign.
