The September
picnic this year was cancelled related to mixed issues including Covid
again.
The
complement of members who went to the New England Regional Meet that month was
very small. Our donated basket put
together by the Rousseaus was much appreciated.
As we were just starting to get used to a slowdown in the pandemic
isolation slump, a few folks came down with COVID in October – including the
Vice President/Photographer and Treasurer of the club. The president was also out of commission and
in rehab. Soooo, John Mennucci our valiant Secretary took the lead at the
business meeting that month. On November
6th, 13 of the regulars and a couple old timers went to the annual
Chicken Run at Wrights Farm in Burrillville.
The food was the usual great fare including their family style chicken
with all the “fixins” and ice cream slices with little chickens visible in the
middle!
